Hello to everyone or as Arabs say AHLAN WA SAHLAN (hello and welcome!) . Artemocion is a dance studio which offers various dance classes by professional teachers including classes for Belly Dance , Jazz , Ballet and Hip Hop in Malta . Our main studio is situated in Mellieha however Belly Dance classes are also given in Sliema, St.Julians and Swieqi (Malta).
Artemocion offers a great variety of Dance classes all year round in all locations . The main Belly Dance styles offered are the following:
-CLASSICAL EGYPTIAN BELLY DANCE
-ARABIC CABARET STYLE
-MODERN ARABIC BELLY DANCING
-TURKISH BELLY DANCE (including complex floorwork)
- TRIBAL FUSION (ATS)
- INDIAN FUSION
-SPANISH FUSION BELLY DANCE ( ZAMBRA MORRA / FLAMENCO ARABE)
Artemocion also gives belly danceworkshops using essential props used in Middle Eastern and North African Dancing including : Zills ( finger cymbals) , Veils , Isis Wings , Cane and swords for Balancing .

The Artemocion classes are organized in such a way that everyone can join in . Moreover whether you are taking belly dancing for fun, fitness or professional reasons, with us you will be learning professional belly dance. For those that would like to make a career out of your Belly Dancing Experience , you found the right place! Artemocion invites the students for a variety of shows including television in Malta and abroad to ensure that the students that want to take it as a profession get the right exposure in the right places. As for belly dancing for fitness : there is no better plan than Artemocion Belly Dancing : exercise whilst having fun ...and if you want the guarantee of it just take a look at our dancers , Corinne Turner- The resident teacher and Main Dancer of Artemocion has discovered that Belly Dance is the best way to keep a nice slim toned body and having fun whilst doing it professionally !

ut our latest shows in Malta for belly dance and other dance styles . It also includes all the other courses which are given by Artemocion . For those that find it too hard to attend to the classes regularly we also offer PRIVATE BELLY DANCE LESSONS - these lessons are fixed with the teacher and can be done whenever you want and as often as you want.
The prices of the ARTEMOCION lessons are kept reasonable as we believe that Belly Dancing should be affordable to everyone so that it can be reached by everyone and together...we will have a great time! The fees of the general courses:
MELLIEHA - 5EURO paid per sesson (not in advance) , each session is of one hour each.
ST.JULIANS/SLIEMA/SWIEQI : 65 EURO for a course of 10 sessions
(distrubuted as follows: 5 eurp registration fee , 6 euro for each session of one hour)
If you miss a lesson...
DON'T WORRY ! Artemocion CARES for the student. we do not want our students to pay for lessons that they did not take , so we have a system of lesson replacement. If you miss a lesson that you habe paid for we can replace it with another lesson from o ur available classes in Mellieha or St.Julians. Every course has a syllabus and we try to replace the lesson with a similar one however the replacement lesson will be fruitful in all cases .
CORINNE TURNER - MALTA'S NUMBER ONE BELLY DANCER
Corinne Turner is the resident teacher and director of the Artemocion Studio . Corinne has started her dancing career at a very young age - only 3 years old at Alison White's studio with Alison and her sister Elizabeth . After the age of 7 ( and after 4 yea
rs of doing strict Ballet!) Corinne decided that she wanted to move and do something different so she discovered Latin and Modern Jazz under the Direction of the Artist Alicia Joy ..whom we all miss very greatly. From This age onwards Corinne continued her study of Jazz dancing under the direction of several Maltese Jazz teaches including professonal Jazz classes with Claire Cassola ( Dance workshop) . After several years of performances Corinne Joined the Ballet School directed by Bridgette Gauci Borda and entered the Advance Jazz Class by Jesmond S. and Also explored ceccethi Ballet Metods.
HOW DID THE BELLY DANCE EXPERIENCE BEGIN?
Corinne begin her belly dancing lessons at the age of 13 when she was invited for a jazz and cabaret performance in Tunisia with a jazz troupe . Corinne was soon noticed by local people of the industry whom have suggested that Corinne should become a belly dancer especially for the fact that she mastered jazz and hiphop isolations early in her life. Corinne began taking belly dancing classes in Tunisia and after spending several summers training there Corinne was invited in Tunsian shows , so much that the name "al Maltiyya" (the Maltese, referring to Corinne Turner) is not new , especially in the city of Sousse.
Corinne Turner 's experience and familarity to the Arab world has led her to a multi-facate study including a degree in Arabic studies ( 2008-2010 ) B.A Arabic (HONS) . In the Sumemr of 2010 Corinne also went to Syria to prepare Material for her Masters in Arabic Studies which will focus on the Syrian and Lebanese Dialects and also to take workshops for Levantine Belly Dancing with several local teachers .
Turner has appeared in a great variety of Maltese Television programmes including Xarabank( several times) , Alegria ( ONE T V ) , EURO SHOW BOX ( TVM ) , PANDORA ( ONE TV) , OTELLO ( ONE TV) , MONALISA (ONE TV) , SESSI ( EDUACTION 22) . Corinne is also invited to dance in several european and North African countries including: Greece, Tunisia (whom Corinne visits often for shows) , Egypt , Franc, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Spain.
Corinne Turner has also been part of the Dance team for the Indian Bollywood movie : Vinnaithandi Varuvaya , A popular film in India which was shot in 2009. The film was a great sucess especially the musical parts including the song : Hossana , which was composed by Abd AR RAHMAN - the same composer of the famous Indian Hit "Jai Ho" Which was re-written for The pussy cat dolls. Corinne is featured in the video and film of Hossana - the video is also available on you tube simply type Varuvaya Hossana ( the song is also known as the "HELLO song of Vinnaithandi Varuvaya).
Corinne Turner together with the Artemocion Dancers perform in all major events in Malta including:-Lejlett Lapsi, Notte Bianca ( since the beginning of the editions) , Iljieli Melliehin , Carnival of Valletta , Carnivale de Venezia ( all editions) and many others.
